and I realized: I really love sleep.

I mean more than anything, I love sleep and always will.

Sleep never hurts me or makes me try to be someone I’m not.

Sleep is always there for me and doesn’t care when I go to it, it waits patiently, even if I resist.

I begin and end each day with sleep. I began life with sleep, and I hope to end it with sleep.

When I’m sore and feeling alone, sleep won’t judge me, it is accepting and doesn’t care where or who I am.

When I grow older, I want to share sleep with the one I love, because I know, no matter who I choose to be with for the rest of my life, sleep will accept them, and it will always be the one thing people have in common.

So sleep, thank you for keeping me going these past (almost) 20 years. I hope you will continue to be with me for another 70 or more, and when I have finished my life, I will let you take me away with a smile.

I’m almost 20, and there are guys a couple years older to almost 50 years old calling me “kid” about 3 dozen times in a 2 hour span….

I feel like a newbie because I haven’t played serious rugby in a year and keep getting advice that I know already in my head…
